Turkish rebar exporters outpriced as scrap costs rise

Turkish mills are seen to have stopped decreasing their rebar quotes this week due to the continuing increase in scrap prices since Friday last week. On Thursday, mills’ rebar export offers were mostly at $690-710/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, unchanged from last week. Offers for mesh-quality wire rod, meanwhile, were at $700-725/t fob.
