Turkish rod exports surge, prices plummet

Turkish wire rod exports surged 25% on-year in February to 140,030 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value, however, was $496/tonne versus $588/t in February 2018.
