Turkish scrap activity remains slow amid stronger lira
Turkish mills are showing weak interest in scrap purchases after last weekend’s elections that resulted in favour of the opposition.
Although the general expectation was towards the depreciation of the lira after the elections, its continuing appreciation versus other currencies has brought activity in the market to a halt.
