Turkish scrap continues decline, bottom questioned
Some Turkish mills have decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week despite the weakening of the lira versus the dollar, Kallanish notes. This is mostly due to the recent decline seen in imported scrap values.
There were only a few mills inquiring about scrap on Wednesday. On the other hand, there are limited suppliers offering material in the market, while the remainder prefer to wait for Turkish demand to recover.
