Turkish steel exports surge in August: CIB
Turkish steel exports surged in August according to the Çelik İhracatçıları Birliği (CIB), the country’s steel exporters' association.
According to association president Adnan Aslan, steel exports in August 2018 reached 1.6 million tons, up by 36.4% on a quantity basis, compared to the same month the year before. The value of these was $1.2 billion, up by 43% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
