United Arab Emirates' billet producers are grappling with the impact of soaring scrap prices, a result of unregulated exports to India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Despite the imposition of export duties on ferrous scrap at AED 400/tonne ($109), the surge in misdeclared UAE scrap exports has been unabated, as reported by Kallanish.
