UAE's AGSI to expand rolling capacity
United Arab Emirates integrated steelmaker Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has signed a contract with a supplier to build a new rolling mill at its existing ICAD, Abu Dhabi plant.
The company will also upgrade its current melt shop to expand its billet production capacity from the fourth quarter onwards to 600,000 tonnes/year, for which it has already received approval for additional power supply, Kallanish notes.
