UK manufacturing activity continues to drop
The UK manufacturing sector experienced one of its poorest months in seven-and-a-half years, according to the latest IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) survey monitored by Kallanish. Output, new orders and new export orders fall sharply and job losses were reported for ninth straight month.
