UK supplier hikes domestic, not industrial, energy prices,
EDF Energy announced Wednesday a 7.2% increase on its dual fuel -- electricity and gas -- prices for UK domestic customers from June. It blamed a range of rising costs, in both wholesale and non-wholesale energy costs and obligations for the hike, Kallanish Steel’s sister publication Kallanish Energy reports. The power company remains tight-lipped however on the implications of this rise for industrial users.
