Steelworkers accuse US Steel of violating labour agreements
The United Steelworkers (USW) are requesting to meet with David Burritt, the ceo of US Steel (USS), to rectify what the USW sees as a violation of its basic labour agreement (BLA), Kallanish reports.
An 11 January letter to USW members penned by international president David McCall and Mike Millsap, USW chairman of the negotiating committee and District 7 director, highlights the union’s efforts to understand the ramifications of a USS sale to Nippon Steel.
