United Steelworkers endorse Biden for US president
The United Steelworkers labour union has formally endorsed Democratic candidate Joe Biden for the 2020 presidential election, Kallanish reports.
Biden served as the US vice president under President Barack Obama and as a US senator for Delaware from 1973 through 2009.
The crux of the union’s support comes from candidate’s Biden’s pledge to strengthen social safety nets, says USW International president Thomas Conway.
