United Steelworkers praise appointment to worker safety role
The United Steelworkers (USW) labour union is praising President Joe Biden’s appointment of a long-time USW employee for a top-level position in the US Department of Labor, Kallanish reports.
James Frederick will serve as the deputy assistant secretary of labor for occupational safety and health. Frederick previously served 25 years with the USW in its health, safety, and environment department.
