Upgrades lift Mechel’s coal production in August
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Southern Kuzbass coking coal company increased coal production in August, the company says.
The volume amounted to more than 700,000 tonnes of coal, up by 42% compared with July, Kallanish notes. With coking coal prices firm, the product is currently lucrative.
