US adds 4 rigs, Canada loses 42

The US added four operational rigs for the week ended 24 March for a total of 758, while Canada dropped 42 rigs, bringing its total count to 165, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
Of the US’ total rigs, 593 are for oil and 162 are for gas. The remaining rigs were classified as miscellaneous. This is an increase of 88 from the equivalent week last year.
