US bulk, Japanese scrap prices descend in Asia
Recent US bulk and Japanese scrap deals in East Asia reflect a weaker market, Kallanish notes.
Trading sources report that this week, South Korea’s Hyundai Steel ordered a 45,000t West Coast heavy melting scrap cargo at $431/t cfr HMS 1 basis.
