US construction employment rises in 43 states
A strong majority of US states saw construction employment rise from June 2017 to June 2018, Kallanish learns from the Associated General Contractors of America.
Employment rose in 43 of the 50 US states, plus the District of Columbia, the association reports.
Texas led the net gains by state with 42,900 jobs, an increase of 6%. Of the six states that lost jobs, New Jersey led the pack with 4,800 jobs, a decline of -3.1%.
