Shaped bar imports drop in February
US light shaped bar imports were down slightly from January to February, Kallanish learns from preliminary steel import data collected by the US Department of Commerce.
According to preliminary census data collected through 30 March, imports of light shaped bars to the US totaled 10,430 tonnes in February. Imports in February were down from the 13,331t of light shaped bars imported into the US in January. The leading countries in light shaped bar exports…
