US imports register growth in January
US imports grew 7% from December to January, according to preliminary US Census Bureau figures analysed by Kallanish.
Steel imports reached nearly 2.8 million tonnes in January – a 7% rise from December’s imports of 2.6m t and a 27% increase from January 2021’s imports of 2.2m t.
