US industry welcomes US-UK tariff deal
The US steel industry is responding favourably to the news of a tariff rate quota agreement on steel imports from the United Kingdom.
The deal allows for up to 500,000 tonnes of steel products melted and poured in the UK to be exported to the US market free of the 232 tariffs currently in place for most other countries. Additionally, the UK will remove retalitory tariffs on US products.
