US mill output, utilisation rates rise
US mills increased production last week, the latest data from the American Iron and Steel Institute shows.
Raw steel output reached 1.882 million short tons during the week ending 16 October 2021 with mills operating at 85.3% of capability. This was a 1.3% rise from the previous week’s output of 1.858m st when capability utilisation was 84.2%.
