US mill shipments grow in August
Shipments from US steel mills grew from July to August, according to the latest data supplied to Kallanish by the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US mills shipped 8.4 million short tons of steel in August, which was a 1.5% rise from July shipments of 8.28m st. August shipments grew by 28.7% from August 2020 shipments of 6.5m st.
