US production creeps up on the year
US raw steel production for the week of 10 June was 1.739 million short tons with a capability utilisation rate of 77.3%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. The figure represents a 0.1% increase from the week of 10 June, 2022, when production was 1.738m st and utilisation was 79.6%.
Raw steel production decreased by 0.9% since last week, when production was 1.75m st and utilisation was 78%.
