US raw production rises on-week

US raw steel production fell on-year and increased on-week in the week ended 25 February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Production reached 1.674 million short tons during the week with a capability utilisation of 74.9%, up 1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 74%, and down 4.6% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 80.8%.
