US raw steel continue to climb
US raw steel production rose both on-week and on-year in the week ended 17 April, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.77 million short tons at 78% capability utilisation - up 0.5% from the previous week, when utilisation was 77.6%, and up 42.7 from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was just 55.4%.
