US raw steel dips on week
US raw steel production slipped for the first time in weeks in the week ended 23 January, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.717 million short tons at 75.7% utilisation, down -1.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 76.7%, and down -9.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 82.4%.
