US raw steel production advances again
US raw steel production inched up again both on-week and on-year in the week ended 3 May, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.788 million short tons at 78.7% average capability utilisation - up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 78.4%, and up 44.4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 55.2%.
