US raw steel production slides on-week
US raw steel production slipped on-week in the week ended 8 May, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.774 million short tons at 78.1% capability utilisation - down 0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 78.7%, but up 45.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 55.4%.
