US rigs increase by 2, Canada down 20
The US rig count advanced slightly ahead of the Christmas holiday, while the Canadian count took a double-digit slide, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by two net rigs to 348, down 457 from last year.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by one, while rigs geared for natural gas production increased by two. The US lost one net rig classified as miscellaneous.
