US rigs rise by 15, Canada up 9
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased in the week ended 11 December, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by 15 net rigs to 338, down 461 from the equivalent count last year.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by 12, while rigs geared for natural gas production increased by four. The US lost one rig classified as miscellaneous.
