US rigs rise by 3, Canada down 23
The US rig count posted a minor increase in the abbreviated holiday week ended 30 December, while the Canadian rig count again posted double-digit losses, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by three net rigs to 351, down 445 from the equivalent week last year.
All new rigs gained were geared for oil production.
