US rigs rise by 9, Canada up 11
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased in the week ended 17 September, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by nine net rigs for a total of 512, up 257 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by 10, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by one.
