US rigs stay unchanged, Canada down 2
The US rig count remained flat in the week ended 28 August, while the Canadian count posted a minor decline, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US count remained static at 254, down 650 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by three, but that was offset by a gain of three rigs geared for natural gas production.
