US Steel breaks ground on new minimill

Joined by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, US Steel officially broke ground on 8 February on its new 3 million short ton/year flatrolled minimill in Osceola, Arkansas. The $3 billion greenfield facility will include two electric arc furnaces, an endless casting and rolling line, and advanced finishing capabilities.
