USS enlists CarbonFree for capture program at Gary Works
US Steel has partnered with the CarbonFree company to capture carbon dioxide emissions from blast furnaces at Gary Works, Kallanish learns.
Implementing CarbonFree’s SkyCycle technology will “capture and mineralise up to 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, equivalent to emissions produced by nearly 12,000 passenger cars annually,” the companies specify in a joint press release.
