US Steel picks Arkansas for $3 billion mill
US Steel will site its new $3 billion flat-rolled steel mill in Osceola, Arkansas, the company announced late Tuesday.
The new electric arc furnace facility will produce 3 million short tons/year. Permitting has already begun, and groundbreaking is slated for this quarter. The mill is expected to come online in 2024.
