US Steel proposes new terms for USW contract
In its latest proposal to the United Steelworkers, US Steel increased its original 13.6% salary increase, over four years, to 15%, and it will cap health insurance spending at its current level, Kallanish reports.
The USW members have requested parity with the 20% increase offered by Cleveland-Cliffs and want the proposed medical benefits for the new contract to include locations where workers currently go for in-network healthcare.
