US Steel taps Harju Elekter for motor controls

US Steel has tapped Harju Elekter UAB to provide motor controls for its new mini-mill in Osceola, Arkansas in a deal worth €10 million euros ($10.9m). With production scheduled to begin this year, Harju will manufacture low voltage drives and MCC systems to control 1,500 motors in US Steel’s Big River Steel works.
