USSK completes hot strip mill downcoiler rolls testing
US Steel Kosice (USSK) has finalised a one-year long testing of the latest Danieli UHP hard-faced pinch rolls serving the down-coiler area of its hot-strip mill.
A roll wear of only 1.8mm on the diameter against the standard one of 5.5mm was recorded after a standard campaign of 14,000 coils – approximately 230,000 tonnes.
