Vale revises down iron ore production outlook
Brazil’s Vale will end 2020 below its estimated target, while still working to restart capacity amid the effects of the Brumadinho accident in January 2019. Output, however, should rise by almost 5-10% on-year in 2021, Kallanish learns from the miner.
Vale’s 2020 production is expected to reach 300-305 million tonnes.
At the end of July, Vale announced it expects to fully operate its annual iron ore production capacity of 400mt by 2022.
