Valin Steel to expand extra-thick plate business
Hunan Valin Steel says its subsidiary Xiangtan Iron & Steel (Xianggang) will build an extra-thick slab caster project. This is for increasing output of extra-thick plate in response to changes in the high-end medium and thick plate market, Kallanish notes.
Xianggang will use CNY 400 million ($59.79m) of its own funds to construct the project in the continuous casting workshop at its wide plate plant. The construction period is estimated from November…
