Vallourec creates joint venture with Brazil’s Açotubo Group
French tubemaker Vallourec has formed a joint venture with Brazil’s Açotubo Group, a large manufacturer of steel tubes, Kallanish notes.
The new company, Vallourec Tubos para Indústria (VTI), will produce and sell drawn tubes to the automotive, energy, machinery, and industrial equipment sectors. Vallourec Soluções Tubulares do Brasil will have a 75% share in the JV, while Açotubo’s participation is 25%.
