Vallourec cuts one-third of North American workforce
French tube producer Vallourec is making hefty cuts to its North American workforce, Kallanish learns from a company release.
Due to the “...unforeseen, sudden, and significant drop of activity” in the oil and gas sectors, Vallourec is cutting about 900 positions in North America. This amounts to more than a third of its total North American workforce and stretches across “...all plants as well as support functions.”
