Vietnamese billet duties may have limited impact
Vietnam is considering imposing a 10% import tax on chrome-added bars, in an attempt to stop Chinese exporters from reclassifying their billet exports to avoid tax. Chinese analysts however note that the tax level is unlikely to be enough to seriously impact Chinese competitiveness.
