Vietnamese HRC import market weakens

Vietnam’s hot rolled coil market has weakened further this week. Suppliers have lowered export offers for Chinese HRC to Vietnam amid a weaker Chinese steel market, Kallanish notes. Bookings for 3-12mm thickness SS400/Q195 from smaller Chinese mills closed at $615-620/tonne cfr Vietnam earlier this week, down from $620-625/t cfr at the start of the month.
