Vietnamese HRC falters on weak demand, China slump
Vietnam’s hot rolled coil market is softening, Kallanish notes. Domestic mill Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) cut its latest monthly domestic HRC prices on Friday. At the same time, Chinese imported HRC offers are roughly stable after falling last Tuesday.
FHS announced on 23 February a reduction of around $30/tonne in its latest monthly domestic HRC prices. The mill set its non-skin passed SAE 1006 HRC for April/May shipment at the equivalent of around $608-615…
