Vietnam's HRC producers hike prices on improved market
The improved hot rolled coil market is benefiting Vietnamese strip producers, Kallanish notes. Formosa Ha Tinh Steel (FHS) and Hoa Phat Dung Quat are enjoying higher prices for their hot rolled coil.
FHS announced on Thursday a $30/tonne hike in its latest monthly domestic HRC prices. The mill set its non-skin passed SAE 1006 HRC for January/February shipment at around $625-637/t cif Vietnam, depending on tonnage. SS400 and pipemaking grades are also pegged at $62…
