Vitkovice Steel upgraded pusher furnace cuts harmful emissions
Czech heavy plate maker Vitkovice Steel has modernised its pusher furnace No 2 for slab heating at its rolling mill. The upgrade will result in reduction of nitrogen oxides emissions by some 21.7 tonnes/year and significant reduction of natural gas consumption, the steelmaker says.
