Voestalpine can replace Russian pellet but not gas
Although Austria’s voestalpine has lost one third of its ore pellet supply volume since Russia’s attack on Ukraine, that problem is under control, says chief executive Herbert Eibensteiner.
Before the war, voestalpine bought about a third of all its ore supplies from Ukraine. It could replace these volumes with more deliveries from countries like Sweden and Brazil, Eibensteiner said at a meeting with Austrian journalists last week.
