Volvo accelerates emissions target amid SSAB partnership
Swedish automaker Volvo has accelerated its CO2 emissions reduction target to 75% per car by 2030 – versus a 2018 baseline – boosted by its sourcing of near-zero emission primary and recycled sheet steel from SSAB.
Volvo notes it was the first carmaker to team up with SSAB to explore near-zero emission, high-quality steel for the automotive industry.
