Wugang loses HRC output after fire
Central China's Wuhan Iron & Steel (Wugang) saw a fire break out from electrical cables on the night of 10 December. The fire has forced a shutdown of a hot strip mill, which will be out of action for around ten days, Kallanish has confirmed with sources at owner Baowu Group.
The line is one of four at the plant with a combined capacity of some 13.6 million tonnes/year of hot rolled coil. The total lost HRC output was reported by market so…
